On the outskirts of Colmar, Eguisheim has received France's highest award for its flower garden plantings. It is also recognized as "one of the most beautiful villages in France".



Ungersheim is the home of the largest ecomuseum in France. 72 medieval buildings have been moved to the museum to recreate a medieval village with its farms, smiths, shops, etc. Staff provide reenactments and demonstrations of medieval life and crafts. The museum is closed on Mondays.
